Vol. 189 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Housing of Newly-weds and Childless Couples in County Dublin.

28.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he is aware that there are a number of newly-wed and childless couples, members of the working classes, who are living under bad housing conditions, who are not in a position to build a house for themselves, and who are not eligible to be housed by the present system of allocating houses by the Dublin County Council; and, if so, if he will make an order to have such persons considered for housing.

They provisions of the Housing Acts do not prevent the Dublin County Council from rehousing persons in the classes referred to by the Deputy.
