Vol. 189 No. 12

Order of Business.

It is proposed to take business in the following order: Nos. 2 and 12 (Votes 30 to 38 and 8 to 10). Questions will be taken at 3 p.m.

Would the Minister give us some idea of the times of sittings next week?

It is arranged to sit on Tuesday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., on Wednesday from 10.30 a.m. to 10.30 p.m. and on Thursday from 10.30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Is it proposed to continue the long sittings on Wednesdays?

For next week, anyway.

I thought there was to be an effort to finish the long programme we have by sitting on all Wednesdays from 10.30 a.m. to 10.30 p.m.? Is there no final arrangement in that respect?

It has not been arranged so far.

In that connection, regard should be had to the physical resources of Deputies. Sitting 12 hours a day is a very exhausting operation, particularly if other work has to be carried on at the same time. However, as the Minister says, the matter is under discussion but agreement has been reached, I understand, in respect of next week's programme.

Yes, for next week.
