Vol. 190 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Drainage of Lower Reaches of River Swilly.

4.

asked the Minister for Finance if it is proposed to proceed with the drainage of the lower reaches of the River Swilly, County Donegal.

A scheme under the Arterial Drainage Act, 1945, for the River Swilly catchment will be considered in due course. At this stage, however, I cannot say when it is likely to be reached in the arterial drainage programme.

There are, however, proposals for the repair of the embankments on the lower reaches of the Swilly and it is hoped to carry out works by contract in the near future.
