Vol. 190 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Flooding of Kerry River.

4.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he is aware that the constant flooding of the Ballyline River, Ballylongford, County Kerry, is causing great hardship to local farmers and is holding up much valuable land reclamation work in the area, and that this river was surveyed some time ago under the Land Project; and if in view of the serious damage being caused he will state what steps will be taken under the Land Project or otherwise to deal with the matter.

The report and drawings of a recent survey of portion of the river are being prepared and will be examined to ascertain whether the work is suitable for attention with the aid of a grant under the Land Project.
