Vol. 191 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - State of Offaly Road.

27.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he is aware of the neglected state of the roads from Oalums Bridge to Bolger's gate at Ballyteague, Ballycommon, County Offaly, where the residents and land owners cannot use the road: and that repeated requests have been made to the Offaly County Council to carry out repairs: and if the Council will remedy this matter as soon as possible.

I am not so aware. I am informed that the road in question is in fair condition for the volume of traffic it carries. It is a matter for Offaly County Council to decide whether the road should be proposed for inclusion in any of their annual programmes of works.
