Vol. 191 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Flesk (Kerry) Bridge.

16.

asked the Minister for Local Government what progress is being made towards the erection of a bridge to replace the old bridge over the Flesk river at Muckross Road, Killarney, County Kerry; and if he will expedite the execution of such necessary work.

Technical correspondence has been proceeding for some time in regard to various questions which arose on the consultant's preliminary designs for the proposed new bridge at Flesk. Considerable progress has been made and the County Council have now been asked to decide which bridge-type of the two recommended by their consultant they favour. As soon as agreement is reached on this point, the detailed planning of the scheme should proceed fairly quickly.
