16.

asked the Minister for Finance what Christmas relief grants will be provided this year in the Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown constituency; and the number of men which it is expected will be employed.

The following allocations have been made for employment schemes for the current winter in the area referred to:

To the Borough Council for Dún Laoghaire Borough: grant, £5,000; local contribution, £1,250; total £6,250;

To Dublin County Council for Dún Laoghaire suburbs: grant, £400; local contribution, £135; total £535.

It is expected that the borough schemes will give employment to an average of 30 men over a period of four months, and the county council scheme to an average of 10 men for about one month.
