Vol. 192 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Flooding by Kerry River.

11.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he is aware that the constant flooding of the Ballyline River, Ballylongford, County Kerry, is causing great hardship to local farmers and is holding up much valuable land reclamation work in the area; and that this river was surveyed some time ago under the Land Project; whether the report and drawings of this survey have yet been prepared; and if he will examine them to ascertain whether the work of reclamation is suitable for attention with the aid of a grant under the Land Project.

The report and drawings of a recent survey of portion of the river have been prepared and are being actively considered to ascertain whether any work required can appropriately be undertaken under the Land Project.
