I regret that there has been some delay in inspection of Rural Improvement Schemes in Leitrim and other counties because of vacancies in the Special Employment Schemes Office inspectorate staff. Steps are in train to recruit additional engineering staff. As the deputy is no doubt aware there is a current shortage in engineering personnel generally.
