Vol. 192 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Discussions on Air Agreements.

22.

asked the Minister for Transport and Power if he is yet in a position to make a statement on the outcome of the talks between officials of his Department and officials of the United States State Department.

The talks between officials of the Irish and the U.S. Governments in regard to the Air Agreement are continuing. I am not, therefore, in a position to make a statement on the outcome.

Arising out of the Minister's reply——

No one heard him.

We anticipated it.

No one heard the Minister because Deputies were all talking.

It is the Deputy's fault now.

I am drawing attention to the fact that no one heard the Minister.

Will the Minister say if he will give full consideration to the just claims of Limerick in connection with our prior claims in this important matter, taking into account the repercussions and the disadvantages to the city if anything adversely affects Shannon Airport?

The Deputy may be sure that all relevant considerations are being taken into account.

Has the Minister any function?
