Representations received in my Department regarding the transfer of Achillbeg islanders to the mainland have been forwarded, for consideration, to the permanent inter-departmental Committee on Island matters, established by the Minister for Finance. The Deputy will appreciate that I cannot anticipate the outcome of the Committee's deliberations in the matter.
