Vol. 192 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Cost of Telegrams to Six Counties.

69.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will explain why it costs a minimum of sixpence more to send a telegram to the Six North-Eastern Counties than to any other part of Ireland.

The Six North-Eastern Counties are within the area served by the British Post Office. A common charge, which is higher than the internal charge, applies to telegrams forwarded to all offices under the British Post Office.
