Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Irish-American Air Discussions.

55.

andMr. McQuillan asked the Minister for Transport and Power whether he will make a statement on the decisions arrived at in the recent Irish-American discussions on the question of the American application to over-fly Shannon to Dublin.

As already announced, the discussions were arranged at the request of the United States Authorities for the purpose of considering matters of mutual interest arising out of the Air Transport Agreement between the two countries, including the use of both Shannon and Dublin Airports by U.S. airlines. The discussions are continuing and I am, therefore, not in a position to make a statement.
