Vol. 192 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Contributory Old Age Pensioners: Reduction of Pensions from former Employers.

96.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he is aware that former employees of a Dublin firm on pension from the firm are now required by the firm to sign a document authorising the firm to reduce their pension from the firm by approximately 30/- a week on reaching the age of 70 years and becoming entitled to the new contributory Old Age Pension; if so, if this is being done with his sanction or approval; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I have no function in regard to the policy or administration of private pension schemes
