Vol. 193 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Arklow Post Office.

92.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will take steps to raise the status of the Arklow Post Office from that of a sub-office, having regard to its size and the number of operators, postmen and other staff attached to it, and to the fact that it is a group centre telephone exchange and telegraph centre with teleprinters.

The upgrading of Arklow post office is not warranted; and it is not therefore proposed to change its status.
