Vol. 193 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Traffic Control on Border Post Road.

120.

asked the Minister for Justice if he can reassure the House that cattle trucks from Northern Ireland are not breaking all the traffic laws on their way to Dublin from the Carrickarnon Border post; and if he will take steps to ensure that more stringent control is applied by the Gardaí on this road.

I am informed by the Commissioner, Garda Síochána, that the Gardaí along the route mentioned have no reason to think that the standard of driving of drivers of cattle trucks from the North is lower than that of other road users.

Question No. 121 postponed.
