Vol. 193 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Drainage of Sligo River.

33.

asked the Minister for Finance whether he will consider making money available for the drainage of the River Arrow, County Sligo, as great unemployment has been caused in the area by the closing of Ballisodare lead mines.

The position in regard to the drainage of the River Arrow is as stated in my reply to the Deputy's question of 22nd November, 1961, and I regret that it is not possible to bring forward the date for commencing the engineering survey, even for the reasons now suggested by the Deputy.
