Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin Concert Hall.

28.

asked the Minister for Finance whether any proposals have been made to the Government regarding the erection of a concert hall in Dublin; and, if so, whether he will indicate the nature of such proposals; and whether any action is contemplated by the Government on any such proposal.

From time to time since December, 1954, Concert and Assembly Hall, Ltd., have been in touch with Departments on the question of Government aid, in various contingencies, towards the erection and financing of a concert hall in Dublin. More recently the Royal Dublin Society has also been surveying the situation. It is not possible yet to define a scheme or to indicate what action may be taken.
