Vol. 193 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Tipperary Cow Park.

38.

asked the Minister for Lands the reason why the cow park on the Maher Estate at Ballymore, Goolds Cross, Tipperary, has not been handed over to the County Council as agreed to by that body; and if he is aware of the great hardship on cottiers in the area who are unable to obtain grazing for their cows.

On 16th February last, an area of some 41 acres on this estate was allotted to the county council for use as a cowpark.

I should add that the Land Commission were not responsible for any delay which may have arisen in relation to this allotment; in fact the Land Commission had offered it to the council five years ago.
