Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Employment of Irish Workers in Germany.

29.

asked the Minister for External Affairs if he is aware that a certain German firm (name supplied) is advertising positions in Germany for Irish female workers; that the conditions of employment are not in fact as advertised; and whether he is prepared to take steps to ensure that the true position for Irish workers will be brought to the attention of persons emigrating to take up employment abroad.

I am aware that the firm in question has been advertising positions in Germany for Irish female workers. I have no evidence to support the view that the conditions of employment are other than as advertised.

It would appear from the Question that the conditions of employment are not even advertised.

I have no evidence to support that view.
