Vol. 194 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Staff Houses on Portrane (Dublin) Estate.

10.

asked the Minister for Health if any proposals and plans have been submitted to his Department by the Dublin Health Authority for the provision of bathrooms for staff houses on the Portrane Estate, County Dublin; and, if so, if he will give details of such proposals; and when sanction may be anticipated.

The proposals of the Dublin Health Authority for the provision of bathrooms in 69 staff houses at St. Ita's Hospital, Portrane, were agreed to in principle by my Department in June, 1961. Each annexe will contain a bathroom, toilet and wash-hand basin. Sketch plans were approved in December last. I understand that the working drawings will be submitted for approval in the near future. Assuming that these will be in order the next step for the health authority will be to arrange for the completion of the contract documents with a view to invitation of tenders.
