Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Houses Built by National Building Agency, Limited.

33.

asked the Minister for Local Government the number of houses built by the National Building Agency Limited and the location of such houses.

The National Building Agency, Ltd. has undertaken to participate in 23 projects for the provision of houses by industrial concerns in Counties Carlow, Cavan, Clare, Cork, Kerry, Monaghan, Offaly, Waterford and Wicklow. These projects comprise 98 houses, four of which have been purchased and 32 of which are under construction. Provision of the balance of 62 houses is proceeding at various stages of site acquisition, planning, etc. A tender has been accepted by the Agency for the erection of 14 houses to accommodate members of the Garda Síochána at Templemore, County Tipperary, and a further group of eight houses are planned at that centre. Proposals for the provision of further such houses at many dispersed centres are proceeding.
