Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Malahide Sand Drifts.

38.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he is aware of the fact that residents of the sea road, Malahide, County Dublin, are aggrieved as a result of the action of Dublin County Council in levelling the sandhills there; that the complete removal of the surface growth has caused large drifts of fine sand to be blown into residents' gardens; that the Council has refused to remove the sand from the gardens of the people concerned; and that it is illegal for the persons aggrieved to remove the sand; and if, in the light of these facts, he will recommend to the council that it should remedy this grievance.

I have recently been informed by the Malahide Parish Council of the general conditions caused by sand drifts at Malahide and I have asked Dublin County Council for a report.
