14.

asked the Minister for Agriculture further to a letter of the Minister for Finance of 5th April 1960 to the City Manager of Limerick in which he stated that Limerick Council's proposals as to the expansion of the activities of the Condensed Milk Company were being considered by the Dairy Disposal Company, what consideration has been given to the proposal referred to since April 1960; whether any decision has been reached in this matter; and, if so, at what date any action will be taken resulting from such decision.

Limerick City Council proposed an expansion in the activities of the Condensed Milk Company in the manufacture of cheese, other milk products and sweets. The Company has since expanded considerably its cheese making capacity having erected a new factory for the purpose which has been in production since early 1961. The Company's output of full cream milk powder has increased within the last year and its trade in sweets has also improved.
