The maximum personal rate of old age (contributory) pension is 40/- a week, where the yearly average of contributions paid or credited is 48 or more, and the minimum personal rate is 30/- a week, where the yearly average is only 24. The maximum rate of non-contributory old age pension is 30/- a week. Consequently no old age (contributory) pension is payable at a lower rate than non-contributory old age pension.
