Vol. 195 No. 13

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - State Aid to Flour Milling Firm.

32.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether any State grants, loans or subsidies of any kind have been either sanctioned or paid to a firm (name supplied); and, if so, whether he will give details of any such grants, loans or subsidies.

There is no record in my Department of the sanctioning or payment of any grant or loan to the firm mentioned. However, as the question relates to a flour milling firm, the Deputy will be aware that this firm, in common with all other flour milling firms, benefited from payments of flour subsidy distributed by Grain Importers, Ltd., during the years from 1941 until 1957, when the subsidy was discontinued.
