Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - River Liffey Bridges.

51.

asked the Minister for Local Government the present position in relation to proposals for additional bridges over the River Liffey; whether any such proposals are under active consideration; and, if not, if he will have the matter examined in view of the increasingly heavy cross-Liffey traffic.

The formulation of proposals for the construction of additional bridges over the river Liffey is a matter primarily for the Dublin Corporation. I understand that the Corporation have deferred consideration of any such proposals pending receipt of the report and recommendations of their traffic consultant on the Dublin traffic problem generally.
