During the five years ended on 31st March, 1962, an expenditure of £5,499 18s. 2d. was incurred on works at Clonmacnoise and £872 on the acquisition of Sier Kieran. Routine maintenance works were carried out at some of the other monuments—the amount in any one case did not exceed £15.
