asked the Minister for Lands the amount of money spent by his Department in the financial year 1961-62 on the development of game in the country.
Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Expenditure on Game Development.
The amount was £2,130. I gave the details to the House when introducing the Lands Estimate on 7th June, 1962 (Volume 195, Column 2210).
46.
asked the Minister for Lands the basis on which money for the development of game was allocated by his Department in the financial year 1961-62; and what clubs or other organisations were allocated money, and the amount in each case.
Decisions regarding the allocation of grants in 1961-62 to assist the implementation of game development schemes submitted by local organisations and approved by me were governed by the particular circumstances of individual schemes, with due regard to the need for keeping State expenditure to the minimum consistent with the realisation of the objectives of approved schemes.
The remaining particulars requested are contained in a tabular statement which I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to circulate with the Official Report.
