Vol. 196 No. 15

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Mayo Forestry Employment.

18.

asked the Minister for Lands the number of men employed on forestry work in County Mayo at the end of last month, the location of each forestry area in the county, and the number employed in each of those areas.

The total number of men employed by the Forestry Division of my Department in County Mayo at the end of last month was 223. As regards the location of forest lands held in the county, these lands are grouped into ten forest centres and the number of men employed at each is set out in a tabular statement which I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to have circulated with the Official Report.

Following is the statement:—
