Vol. 197 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Exports of Dairy Products.

25.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will name the countries in which new markets for dairy products were secured during the period from 1st April to 1st November 1962; if he will state the type of product, the amount exported to each of these countries, and the price received for the products; and whether any repeat orders have been received.

I understand that during the period mentioned new markets were secured for our dairy products in Algeria, Belgium, Canada, Cyprus, Gibraltar, Italy, Kuwait, Lebanon, Spain, Sweden and Trinidad, and in a number of cases repeat orders have been received or are expected. The products concerned are creamery butter, milk powder and cheese. Particulars as to quantities and prices will not be available for some time.
