Vol. 197 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Waterford-Tramore Bus Service.

34.

asked the Minister for Transport and Power what are the latest returns from the CIE Waterford-Tramore service over the last twelve months (1) in passengers carried and (2) in gross revenue taken; and whether the service is showing a profit or a loss.

I would refer the Deputy to the reply given by me on 28th February, 1962, to questions about the numbers of passengers carried between Waterford and Tramore on CIE services, to which I have nothing to add.

Unfortunately, the Minister for Transport and Power is not here. The Minister for Transport and Power refused to give me these figures and I was forced to take him to an Adjournment Debate the following week in order to get them. I am asking for these figures now and if I do not get them, I will again take the Minister to an Adjournment Debate.

The Deputy said he had got the figures from the Minister. Should that not satisfy him?

I want them to the nearest available date.

I have nothing to add, but the Deputy can raise this matter again.

A Cheann Comhairle, I wish to give notice that I intend raising this matter on the Adjournment.

I shall communicate with the Deputy.
