Vol. 197 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Ringsend (Dublin) Lorry Parking.

70.

asked the Minister for Local Government whether he will inquire into the position arising out of the overnight parking of lorries carrying wheat to the mills in Ringsend, Dublin, to ensure that parking facilities are provided at some distance from the houses at which they now park, as they cause considerable inconvenience to the householders and create avoidable hazards to the children of the area.

This is primarily a matter for the Garda Síochána who, I understand, explained to the Deputy last year the difficulties involved. They are examining the position further to see if any arrangements can be made to reduce the inconvenience to residents in the streets concerned.
