Vol. 197 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions Oral Answers. - Scandinavian Design Group Report.

106.

asked the Minister for Education what action, if any, he has taken to verify the justification of the remarks contained in the Scandinavian Design Group on Ireland that in the National College of Art in Dublin the methods of education were completely out of date and that, as presently constituted, it cannot be the starting point for the education of people in the different crafts or for the education of painters, sculptors or designers.

I have already, in reply to a series of questions from the Deputy, stated the action which I had taken or proposed to take in connection with this matter.

I have nothing further to add to the information which I have given.
