Vol. 197 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions Oral Answers. - Use of Cavity Blocks in Houses.

28.

asked the Minister for Local Government whether, in view of the grave dissatisfaction of many owners of dwelling houses built with cavity blocks, he will consider changes in the grants or regulations in relation to building to eradicate this type of block.

I have no evidence to support the Deputy's suggestions that there is widespread dissatisfaction at the use of cavity blocks in house construction and that I should refuse to accept this form of construction in houses erected with the aid of grants.
