asked the Minister for Agriculture what is the attitude of the Government with regard to Recommendation No. 322 on the Surplus Food Utilisation Fund (World Food Programme) of FAO, which was adopted by the Consultative Assembly of the Council of Europe on 18th May, 1962; and what action the Government have taken, or contemplate taking, on it.

As indicated in the Dáil on 10th May, 1962, the Government support the World Food Programme and, as announced on 4th September, 1962, they have pledged a contribution of $840,000 to it.
