Vol. 198 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Inspection of Nursing Homes.

9.

Mr. Ryan

asked the Minister for Health if he will now introduce legislation to provide for the inspection and registration of, and for minimum standards of care and skill in, nursing homes, having regard to the urgent necessity of protecting the interest of patients in such homes, particularly elderly patients.

I would refer the Deputy to my replies of 25th February, 1960, the 23rd February, 1961, and the 27th March, 1962, to similar questions. I have nothing to add to the terms of those replies.
