Vol. 198 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Remuneration of Temporary Assistance Officers.

62.

Mr. Ryan

asked the Minister for Social Welfare if, in view of the great responsibility borne by temporary assistance officers in the employment of the Dublin Health Authority, he will have increases in salary and improvements in conditions of service granted to them without delay.

The provision of increases in salary and improved conditions for temporary assistance officers in the employment of the Dublin Health Authority are matters for consideration by the Authority in the first instance. Proposals for increased salaries for these officers were approved by me in April last to the full extent sought by the Health Authority.
