Vol. 199 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Night Dispensaries in Urban Areas.

2.

andMr. Kyne asked the Minister for Health whether any decision has yet been reached with regard to the provision of night dispensaries in urban areas.

The holding of night dispensaries in urban areas would be a matter for the appropriate health authorities in the first instance and there are no proposals from such authorities before me at present for the holding of such dispensary sessions.

I would refer to my reply to a Parliamentary Question by Deputy Mullen on the 6th November, 1962, in which I indicated that I would consider the question of the holding of night dispensaries in Dublin when I had received the observations of the Dublin Health Authority on the matter. I understand that the matter is at present under consideration by the Health Authority and that they hope to be in a position to let me have their views shortly.
