Vol. 199 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Union Negotiations with Potez Company.

18.

andMr. McQuillan asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether his attention has been drawn to a report that the Potez Company had been given to understand that they would only have to negotiate with one trade union in Ireland; if any such undertaking was given; and, if so, by whom, by whose authority, and in respect of which union it was entered into.

I am aware of the report but have no information on the subject.

May I ask the Minister whether we can take it that there is no truth in the suggestion that the company concerned or any other company was given any such undertaking by anybody authorised by him or by any Government Department at any time?

Certainly not by me or anybody authorised by me.

Or any other Government Department?

Or any other Government Department for that matter.
