I have here three amendments made to this Bill in the Seanad. They are designed expressly to clarify a number of points raised in the Seanad and to remove any doubts expressed by different Senators as to the interpretation of the particular section.
I move that the Committee agree with the Seanad in amendment No. 1:
In subsection (1), page 3, line 27 "wholly" inserted before "remunerated".
I move that the Committee agree with the Seanad in amendment No. 2:
In subsection (1), page 3, line 30, "but does not include membership of either House of the Oireachtas" added after "inquiry".
I move that the Committee agree with the Seanad in amendment No. 3:
In subsection (2), line 29, "not in any case to a date later than eight days after he has been first remanded, and" inserted before "no".
