Vol. 199 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Division of Carlow Estate.

31.

asked the Minister for Lands when the Land Commission are likely to divide the Oakpark Estate at Carlow among local uneconomic holders and landless men.

Of the 1,563 acres purchased on this estate, which vested in Land Commission in March, 1961, 1,087 acres have already been allotted. Proposals for allocation of the 476 acre residue are being formulated but it is unlikely that allotments thereon will be feasible before next year.

Is it likely they will be divided next year?
