Vol. 199 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Provision of Housing by State Bodies.

12.

asked the Minister for Transport and Power whether it is the practice of any State board or company such as CIE, Aer Lingus, ESB, Bord na Móna, etc., under the aegis of his Department, to provide free housing for the Chairman or Managing Director; and, if so, in which companies or boards this is the practice.

With regard to the first part of the Deputy's question, none of the State boards or companies under the aegis of my Department, viz., Córas Iompair Éireann, Aer Lingus, Aer Rianta, Aerlínte Éireann, the Electricity Supply Board, Bord Fáilte Éireann, Bord na Móna, Irish Shipping Ltd., and the Shannon Free Airport Development Company Limited, provides free housing for the chairman or managing director. The second part of the Deputy's question does not, therefore, arise.
