asked the Minister for Local Government the number of inhabited dwellings which have been condemned as unfit for human habitation in the Dublin Corporation area.

The information in the form requested by the Deputy is not available in my Department. The following information has been taken from the returns of operations of the Dublin Corporation under the Housing Acts for the period ended 31st March, 1962:—

(1) Number of houses ordered to be demolished

3,399

(2) Number of families in houses at (1)

7,841

(3) Number of houses actually demolished

3,011

(4) Number of families in houses at (3)

6,853
