andMr. McQuillan asked the Taoiseach whether he is yet in a position to state whether he intends to look for any alteration in the scope or terms of the Anglo-Irish trading agreements in the light of the new problems created for both countries by the collapse of the EEC negotiations.

andMr. McQuillan asked the Taoiseach what steps he has taken or intends to take to negotiate at Government level alternative bilateral trading arrangements with European, Middle Eastern, African and other countries in the light of the failure of the EEC negotiations.

With your permission, Sir, I propose to take Questions Nos. 2 and 3 together.

I have at present nothing to add to what I said in this House on the 5th February with regard to our trading relations with Britain and other countries.
