asked the Minister for Agriculture the amount of money lent under the Grain Storage (Loans) Act, 1951, and the years in which the advances were made, giving amounts for each year; and what is the number of loans guaranteed by the State for the creation of drying and storage facilities, and the amount of money guaranteed in each year since 1951.

As the reply incorporates a tabular statement I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to circulate it with the Official Report.

The statement is as follows:—

asked the Minister for Agriculture the tonnage of grain storage erected, involving loans under the Grain Storage (Loans) Act, 1951, in total and in each year since 1951, and the figures in respect of other similar loans guaranteed by the State since that date.
