asked the Minister for Local Government the amount allocated in each year under the heading of special bridge grants to each local authority from 1950 to the latest available date.

17.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state in respect of each county council and each county borough council for the year 1962-1963 the total grants allotted by his Department under the following headings: (a) road upkeep and improvement work, (b) tourist road grants, (c) special grants for bridge works, (d) schemes the technical aspects of which are administered by his Department, (e) improvement of roads in Fíor-Ghaeltacht areas, (f) improvement of roads as a substitute for railways being closed in such areas, (g) the mileage of public roads in each local authority area, and (h) any other grants.

With your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 16 and 17 together. The statements requested are being compiled. I would suggest that the Deputy repeat his Questions in about three weeks.
