Vol. 200 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Stamping of Court Documents.

49.

Mr. Ryan

asked the Minister for Justice whether the machine in the Four Courts for the impress stamping of court fees was out of order on a number of occasions recently; if so, how often, and why; and if, having regard to the serious consequences to persons by reason of the possible non-issue of court proceedings within periods limited by statute caused by the failure of the machine to operate, he will have steps taken to ensure that nothing occurs to prevent the due stamping of court documents presented for impress stamping during proper hours.

The machine referred to by the Deputy was not out of order at any time recently, nor was any complaint received regarding its operation.
