asked the Minister for Local Government the amount allocated in each year under the heading of special bridge grants to each local authority from 1950 to the latest available date.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state in respect of each county council and each county borough council for the year 1962-63 the total grants allotted by his Department under the following headings: (a) road upkeep and improvement work, (b) tourist road grants, (c) special grants for bridge works, (d) schemes the technical aspects of which are administered by his Department, (e) improvement of roads in Fíor-Ghaeltacht areas, (f) improvement of roads as a substitute for railways being closed in such areas, (g) the mileage of public road in each local authority area and (h) any other grants.

The reply is in the form of a tabular statement which, with your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, will be circulated with the Official Report.
