Vol. 201 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Repair of Foxford (Mayo) Road.

41.

Mr. Browne

asked the Minister for Lands if he will arrange to hand over to Mayo County Council the unsightly Land Commission property in the centre of Foxford town, known as Market Square, so that the Council can take immediate steps to repair the road at the Market Square, and arrange to have the public weighbridge put in working order.

This property, apart from the weighbridge, has been offered for a nominal sum to the county council whose reply is awaited. The weighbridge is being sold separately.

Mr. Browne

Can the Parliamentary Secretary indicate when it was offered to the county council?

It was offered on numerous occasions. The last date was December of last year.
